What makes SMCS so special is the support our school community receives from the many active families. It is because of our volunteers that the PTO successfully fulfills its mission year after year and is able to offer activities, events, and programs that benefit our teachers, students, and families.
Whether it's just volunteering in your child's classroom, at lunch duty, for one of our major fundraisers, or in any capacity, all volunteers must complete a background check and all the required steps before being able to volunteer.
Fair Share Guidelines
Every PTO event requires helping hands to lighten the load. Because volunteer hours are so crucial to the future existence of this school, the PTO has designed a service hours program--Fair Share--that will require each family to contribute their time determined by a set number of hours each year. The Fair Share program is currently under review.
With so many opportunities available, each family can participate in a way that best meets their needs. You can decide to chair a committee, be a class parent, serve on the executive board, or simply help at any one of our many functions. We know your time is precious, and we appreciate when you are able to share it with us!
